When
Corry Ridsdale built her first house off Coon Lake Road in Marion
Township in 1994, she knew she had found a professional career that
combined her interest in home design with her formal training in
architectural residential planning and building. Her family of five
moved into that house the next spring, and she focused her full
attention on homebuilding.
Following her initial success, Corry built a home in Muirfield
Manor, off Golf Club Road in Genoa Township, followed by seven more
custom homes in the same subdivision. Soon, prospective homebuyers
who saw Ridsdale-built houses came to Corry, asking her to build one
for them too. She has since completed more than 60 custom homes,
predominantly in Livingston County, with others in Oakland,
Washtenaw and now Grand Traverse counties. As her company, Ridsdale
Custom Homes Inc., has continued to grow, Corry has remained focused
on her desire to create homes that would make her customers as happy
at the end of the building project as they were at the beginning.
Corry's ability to build custom homes distinguished by their overall
elegance and beautiful detailing has been widely recognized by the
local building community. Over the years, she has won numerous
awards in Livingston County's annual Cavalcade of Homes. These
include the People's Choice Award, the Best Overall Design, and the
Judge's Award for Excellence.
Corry is currently a member of the Home Builders Association of the
Grand Traverse Area. In the past, she was an active member of the
Home Builders Association of Livingston County, serving on the
Cavalcade of Homes committee for two years and chairing the HBALC
membership committee for one year. Corry also served on the HBALC
board of directors for two years, and held one-year terms as first
vice president and second vice president. In addition, she was a
member of the HBALC Women’s Council. When Corry isn't building homes
or pursuing her hobby of visiting Parade of Home shows in other
communities, she is dedicated to spending free time with her
husband, Bob, and their family.

Bob Ridsdale
started as a framer in the construction industry in 1973. After working
for several framing companies, he started his own framing contracting
business. Later, Bob obtained his builder's license and when Corry, his

and support for her residential construction projects.
In 2002, after 22
years of running his own company, Bob decided to leave the framing
business and work full-time with Ridsdale Custom Homes. As a member of
the husband-wife team, he brings a long resume of experience in heavy
construction, including site development and supervision of
subcontractors.
Bob currently
belongs to the Home Builders Association of the Grand Traverse Area. He
is a past member of the Homebuilders Association of Livingston County
