Many of our clients have written to express their appreciation for the building experience and their new custom-built homes. We would like to share some of their comments. Dear Corry and Bob: When we got back to Traverse City, we stopped by the house even though we were both exhausted from getting up at 4:45 am this morning. The bottom line is: That mantel is absolutely beautiful! I told Tom: It isn’t a mantle, it’s a sculpture. I never imagined all those pencil scratches and discussions about quarter-inch extra-plank layer, or some such thing, would ever look like that! I am wowed. Just want you to know how appreciative we are for all you are doing to make this house such a beautiful home. Arne and Tom Havens --- Dear Corry and Bob: We looked for many years, trying to find the right builder for us. When we saw two of your homes at the Cavalcade of Homes, we realized you were our builders. The quality and attention to detail that were evident in your homes was what we were looking for. You took away our anxiety because of your quality workmanship, excellent scheduling and great subcontractors. We were happy with all your advice and guidance throughout the building process. The overall building experience was fun, and if we were ever to build another home, we wouldn’t hesitate as long as Ridsdale Custom Homes was our builder. We love our new home and appreciate all the hard work you both put into building a quality home that we are truly proud of. Sincerely yours, Nick and Terry Saroli --- To whom it may concern: We moved into our new Ridsdale custom home exactly 8 months after the land clearing began. This fact is key to our recommendation, because Corry and Bob Ridsdale told us that construction would take about 8 months. Other builders only gave us a range of time up to a year. We first became aware of the Ridsdales during the Livingston County Cavalcade of Homes, and we were especially impressed with the trim work and attention to detail on the two homes they had entered into the Cavalcade. The Ridsdales said they would be willing to build a home in western Oakland County, so we showed them the plan we had in mind. They had a similar plan, and, with a few modifications, we agreed on it. Their bid was a little less in price per square foot than other builders, and their trim package was the best we had seen. Corry was very helpful in keeping us on budget and her ideas were extremely helpful when we had decisions to make. During the construction phase, Bob and Corry kept us informed on key decisions, provided good ideas, and worked with us in overcoming obstacles that are inevitable with any house construction. Their subcontractors were all highly professional and very good at their trade. Unlike most builders, the Ridsdales allowed, and at times encouraged, us to talk to the subcontractors about what we wanted. We are extremely happy with the finished product, and the trim package is a major factor in our satisfaction. The bottom line is that we have the home we wanted for the price we were expecting to pay, and we moved in on schedule. We’d gladly recommend Corry and Bob Ridsdale as your house builder. Bob and Mary Joyce Readler --- Dear Corry and Bob: Thanks again for our beautiful home. We love it. Our master suite is like a hotel room, and we keep waiting for the vacation to end. Though my house speaks for itself, I will continue to praise you and refer you to potential clients. We absolutely love everything about it, and we are sincerely thankful to you both for all of your hard work throughout the building process. Corry, thanks for all of your extra efforts and special touches that have made our home so special. We know that you did many things you were not obligated to do. But you wanted everything to be perfect and a step above the standard. In our opinion, those goals were accomplished. Our building experience with you from day one has been exceptional. You made this entire process exciting and fun. All of your efforts made our decisions easy, and we can't think of one negative issue that we had to deal with. Thanks for handling every area and every small item. We certainly know whom we want to build our next home. Thanks again, Dan and Pam Young --- Dear Corry: We are thrilled with our new home. What a pleasure it was to build with you. We would do it again in a heartbeat. Thank you for all the hard work you put into our dream home. We are honored to be living in a Ridsdale home.
